Mendeley is a free reference management software that works both online and as a desktop software. You can use it to collect and store references and PDF:s, insert automatically formatted citations into documents and generate bibliographies.

In this guide you will find instructions for downloading and installing Mendeley, as well as an introduction to using the program. The library also offers introduction courses for Mendeley users. To find and register for upcoming courses, please see further below.

 

 

Note! Two versions of Mendeley
Mendeley Reference Manager is the new version of the software that was launched in 2020, intended to eventually replace Mendeley Desktop, the previous version. Mendeley Desktop will continue to be available. The new Mendeley Reference Manager is constantly improving with regular updates, while Mendeley Desktop isn't. You can use your existing Mendeley Desktop in parallel with Mendeley Reference ManagerHere Mendeley support answers questions about the new version. 

The library's introduction courses will focus on the Mendeley Reference Manager.
