EndNote is a reference management software that you can purchase and install on your computer. Contact your local IT-support to access the software. The license permits installation on three units. EndNote can be used on an iPad. If you synchronise your EndNote library, you can access it on different units.
EndNote Basic is a free variant. You can create an account online and save your references in the cloud. Install an add-on to Word (Cite While Your Write) to insert citations and reference lists in your documents.
Never store your EndNote library in a network or cloud storage such as Dropbox or iCloud. If your Mac has been set to sync your Desktop and Documents with iCloud, you must not save your EndNote library on the Desktop or in the Documents folder. Weird looking citations in Word
