iCloud

Never store your EndNote library in a network or cloud storage such as Dropbox or iCloud. If your Mac has been set to sync your Desktop and Documents with iCloud, you must not save your EndNote library on the Desktop or in the Documents folder. Instead, you can create a folder within the Applications folder for storing your EndNote library. Read more about EndNote and iCloud.

Weird looking citations in Word

Sometimes, instead of citations, there is strange information in a Word document. Try this to fix it:

  1. Go to Word Options.
  2. Click on Advanced and scroll down to Show Document Content
  3. Uncheck the box called Show field codes instead of their values
  4. Click OK.
